There are nine easy ways for you to easily do a convergence adjustment for your rear projection TV. This will help you obtain a clear image quality in an almost-perfect setting. The first step in performing convergence for you rear projection television is by browsing on the user manual of the product package. The second step is to open the TV menu. The remote control is your friend in the process so make use of it.

The third step is to open the convergence menu on the TV. You may find this under the category Picture Settings or the Function tabs. In other brands however, Picture Settings and Function don’t have the convergence menu under them. So make sure to check on the advanced options. Step number seven is adjusting the lines horizontally. If you see vertical lines colored red in the screen, use the right and left buttons on the remote control to adjust the lines horizontally. Continue adjusting the line until it is already on top of the center vertical line on the white cross hair.

The eighth step is to save the setting. It is imperative for you to do this so that you will not be doing the same thing over and over again. Simply exiting from the current menu will not guarantee that your new adjustments are saved. So it’s important to be completely sure.

The final step in the process is by doing the same thing for the rest of the colors, the blue and the green colors.

It might be a tiresome process, but you’ll get the benefits later when you are done. In reality however, it’s but ordinary only to have convergence problems with television especially on wide panel. Errors on convergence are typified with colored fringes around the images or the presence of white lines.
