Over the years, Samsung has been providing quality home entertainment appliances. From its humble roots as a domestic consumer electronics manufacturer, Samsung has now grown into a multi-billion dollar giant, competing head to head with more established brands in the market. One of the best loved Samsung products are the Samsung TVs. Just recently a new line up has been introduced showcasing the latest and top of the line technology in home theater.
The latest in the growing family of Samsung TVs is the Samsung LCD TV. And Samsung is proud to announce the release of two new LCD TV technologies which have long been delayed.
One of these technologies is called the FFL or flat-fluorescent backlight. It was expected in their LNR460D model but only showcased the traditional backlighting technology. The other techy is called LED which stands for light emitting diode. This two babies promises to enhance TV viewing in the upcoming release of new Samsung TVs.
As of 2005, the company is revered as the number 1 provider of raw plasma TV panels. Its lucky seven fleet in 2005 was a huge success. Samsung plasma TV takes pride of an ingenious EDTV resolution, offering quality and crisp images yet budget-friendly for the economical buyer. The EDTV resolution is available in their 63 inch panel.
Although, Samsung has a good knack for mega-large plasma panels during trade shows, their 63 inch model is by far the largest in terms of commercial production. Reports also show that Samsung will release its 80-inch model soon.
The rear projection Samsung TV is said to be on A-lister when it comes to wide screen HD television. According to home theater experts, the Texas Instruments’ very own DLP technology or digital light processing simply excels. The DLP technology is certainly no match against its counterparts, the LCoS and the LCD technologies, when it comes contrast and quality of image. Samsung has already produced an array of DLP powered rear projection televisions which vary in resolutions and screen sizes. The smallest so far is the 42 inch entry level unit and their biggest apple of the eye is the 71 inch biggie that boasts of the latest DLP technology.
What makes the Samsung rear projection TV a huge smash hit? Two things, Samsung combines the diversity of screen size and resolution models and offering the best deal in their big-time retailers. Unlike other DLP providers, Samsung offers DLP rear projection with both 1080p and 720p resolutions, which is a great thing since consumers will have more choices to pick. Samsung even topped other well established names like Sony in terms of pricing. It’s a big risk for the company but it all paid off when it retained a strong market presence in one of the world’s best retailers.
